For decades Calspan has accomplished highly complex one-of-a-kind modifications to create in-flight simulator aircraft or to add experimental systems, sensors, or data recorders to our own or customer aircraft. These aircraft have included military fighters such as the VISTA F-16, business jets such as our Learjets, rotary wing aircraft such as the USN Test Pilot School SH-60s and Piasecki X-49A, and light aircraft such as a Daniel Webster College Cessna 172. Calspan's aircraft modification expertise lies primarily in the areas of control system design and actuation, sensors, data recording, and the associated interfaces to an aircraft's structural, electrical, hydraulic, and cooling systems.
